I had my first Feldenkrais lesson with Maike last year. I have scoliosis, so suffer a lot with my back. I hadn't heard of Feldenkrais before and was a little sceptical, but I shouldn't have been. It's fascinating how it works and how it makes so much sense when Maike explains it. I noticed huge improvements, both pain wise and visually. Maike is exceptionally patient and puts you totally at ease. Would highly recommend anyone to try this simple but effective method.

I had a stroke just over a year ago and Maike has been doing work with me on my hands and arms. I was told I wouldn't swallow again and she worked with me doing exercises that helped so much I regained my swallow and eat a regular diet again. I see Maike most weeks now and my hands and arms feel freer after each session and I'm looking forward to improving my mobility and balance again. A year ago, Maike introduced me to the Feldenkrais Method. I have had back problems since childhood due to scoliosis. Over the years, the pain had become constant. For the past year, I have also been suffering from light-headedness and dizziness/ vertigo. In order to find the root of my vertigo, I visited over 10 specialists (osteopath, physiotherapist, neurologist, ophthalmologist, dentist, ear nose and throat specialist, acupuncturist etc), but got neither relief from, nor an explanation for, my symptoms. At times the vertigo was so severe that I couldn't live my normal life.
After months of suffering, discovering the Feldenkrais method gave me hope again. From the very first moment with Maike, I felt a deep sense of expertise combined with great humanity. The client is cared for in a way that respects their uniqueness and individuality. The work that Maike carries out in each session, together with the exercises suggested in the Feldenkrais Method videos -which I practise daily - have enabled me to achieve a level of flexibility which I had never experienced before as well as a nearly complete resolution of my back problems. Furthermore, my nervous system has calmed down and I could therefore manage my dizziness and regain confidence in my body.

I’d been suffering from Achilles tendinopathy in my right leg for about two years. Standard bandages and the exercises
prescribed by my orthopaedic surgeon didn’t really help.
So I was advised to give Feldenkrais a go and went to see Maike Isaac, who had a good reputation thanks to word of mouth.
And it was true – after just two sessions, I started to feel better and better, and the result today is that I’m living my life completely pain-free again!
